Entitlement benefits

Help getting the benefits you are entitled to, one form at a time.

How we help

YMPJ works to ensure that marginalized communities get the benefits guaranteed to them by the state and federal governments. We coordinate with individuals and families to assist in filling out and submitting the required paperwork and forms for WIC, SNAP, Public Assistance, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, and SSDI.

Programs we can help with

  • WIC: food and nutrition support for pregnant people, new parents and children under five.
  • SNAP: monthly help buying groceries, formerly known as food stamps.
  • Public Assistance: cash assistance for basic needs.
  • Medicaid: free or low-cost health coverage.
  • Medicare: health coverage for people 65 and older and some people with disabilities.
  • SSI: monthly payments for older adults and people with disabilities who have limited income.
  • SSDI: payments for people who cannot work because of a disability and have paid into Social Security.
